This is a link to my facebook page where i wrote a post about a close friend of mine that had a positive experience with her counselor. Listening to her tell her story was an experience i will never forget. She was in such a dark place at the time and i relate to having harsh struggles in life as well. I'm so proud that she was strong enough to get the help she needed. I have never seen a counselor myself but after listening to her story and positive impact her counselor had on her has made me see counseling in a new light. A lot of family and friends follow me on facebook and many of them have had harsh struggles in their lives so hopefully this helps them see counseling as a way to help them get their struggles. I loved sharing this story about my friend and think it's shows great courage to seek out help yourself knowing that you need it. I hope y'all read this story and see that counseling is there to help you come to terms with your struggles and help you find a way to see positivity in your life by giving you mechanisms that can support you in the long run.

Hey Mad! It is truly amazing to see how counselors can help someone in a positive way allowing them to live a better life to where they can be happy. I am so happy that your friend got the help she needed because I know how hard it must have been to see her go through what she was going through. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteHey girl! That video was truly inspiring no doubt. I really enjoyed being able to see the relief on her face and see how she fought her way through it. It is pretty awesome how counselors have that kind of magic to help you through things especially when things get tough. Awesome blog :)
